About the role
Support software delivery and infrastructure operations while developing practical DevOps skills. This internship focuses on well-scoped tasks involving automation, deployment workflows, monitoring, and technical documentation under the guidance of experienced team members.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Use version control and follow code-review and change-management practices.
- Help investigate pipeline failures and document findings for the team.
- Support routine environment checks, monitoring, and operational documentation.
- Create or update simple scripts and configuration files with review.
- Follow access-control procedures and avoid storing credentials in source code or shared documents.
Skills and experience
- Foundational understanding of operating systems, command-line tools, and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Git and an introductory scripting or programming language.
- Interest in automation, cloud infrastructure, and reliable software delivery.
- Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and communicate progress clearly.
Helpful additional experience
Coursework, personal projects, labs, or practical exposure to CI/CD, containers, or a cloud platform can demonstrate readiness. Production ownership is not expected for an internship.
