About the role
Contribute to software and IT engineering projects while developing practical technical skills. This internship focuses on clearly scoped implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation tasks with guidance from experienced team members.
Key responsibilities
- Help translate software and IT requirements into manageable implementation and testing tasks.
- Write or update small software components, scripts, or technical documentation with review.
- Execute tests, document results, and help investigate defects.
- Use version control and participate in team reviews and progress discussions.
- Research technical questions and summarize findings clearly.
- Follow established development, security, and change-management practices.
Skills and experience
- Foundational programming and problem-solving skills demonstrated through coursework, labs, or projects.
- Basic understanding of software testing, debugging, and version control.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar tools, follow instructions, and ask questions when needed.
- Clear written communication and a collaborative approach to technical work.
Helpful additional experience
Personal or academic projects involving applications, APIs, data, or automation are useful. Include the technologies used and explain your contribution. Familiarity with operating systems and networking fundamentals can also be helpful.
