About the role
Improve the reliability, security, and efficiency of software delivery and infrastructure operations. This senior role combines hands-on automation with technical leadership, helping teams build repeatable deployment processes and maintain dependable systems.
Key responsibilities
- Design and improve CI/CD workflows, deployment safeguards, and release processes.
- Develop reusable infrastructure and configuration automation with appropriate review and testing.
- Strengthen monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting practices, and operational runbooks.
- Partner with development and security teams on access controls, secrets handling, and environment consistency.
- Lead root-cause analysis and follow-through on improvements after operational incidents.
- Review technical changes, mentor colleagues, and communicate infrastructure trade-offs to stakeholders.
Skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience maintaining production infrastructure and automated delivery workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting ability across operating systems, networking, applications, and cloud services.
- Practical scripting skills, version-control discipline, and experience with infrastructure as code.
- Ability to balance reliability, security, maintainability, and operational cost.
- Clear technical communication and experience guiding engineering decisions.
Helpful additional experience
Experience with container platforms, observability tooling, disaster-recovery exercises, or more than one deployment environment is useful. Describe the systems you have supported and your contribution to their reliability.
